Go Find Her

TTC 1

Go Find Her

Just do what you say you’ll do
Just live the way you think is true
stop feeling sorry for yourself
Stop running around, begging for help

Go find her
Go find the girl from long ago
Go find her
Where the calm winds still blow
Stop trying to be someone else
Stop trying to prove your worth
While your dreams lay on the shelf
Go find her
Follow the light
And be that girl long ago
Who was free

Just chase the uncharted unknown
Just go where only few have flown
Stop crying, fretting on thing you can’t change
Stop wasting time rearranging the same old things

Go find her
Go find the girl from long ago
Go find her
Where the calm winds still blow
Stop trying to be someone else
Stop trying to prove your worth
While your dreams lay on the shelf
Go find her
Follow the light
And be that girl long ago
Who was free

Dream
Take the time
Walk in sunshine
The day will be all right
She dared to see
Everything
She dared to be
A girl who was free

Go find her
Go find the girl from long ago
Go find her
Where the calm winds still blow
Stop trying to be someone else
Stop trying to prove your worth
While your dreams lay on the shelf
Go find her
Follow the light
And be that girl long ago
Who was free

Almost There

Sketch Sky

Almost There

Just one more step
Almost there
Just one more day
I won’t care
Of days gone by
Dark seasons of my life
Of lack, of being alone
With nothing
Not even a home

Just one more breath
Almost there
Just one more night
I’ll be all right
The sun I see
The songs I hear
Many other say
Will come my way
I’ll seize that day

Just one more try
Almost there
Just one more fight
I’ll be there
Victory, I’ll finally see
No more misery
Or woe is me
The joy I find
Will spread with time
To those who’ve face
The darkness I’ve known
I’ll show them how
To get right out
And then they’ll say
The words I now claim

Almost there
Almost there
Just one more fight
I’ll be there
Out of the dark
In the light
I’ll seize that day
It’ll soon be mine

I Can See

I Can See

I can see
A bright light in this world
It’s right in front of me
I now know
Stories told long ago
Were not fables or lies
But truths that refused to die

I am the one
Who now can see
I am the one
Who’s free to dream
I am the one
Who’s no longer scared
I am the one
Who will do it, I dare

I can feel
A warm gentle breeze
Wash over me
I feel it, in the night
In the chill of wintertime
What once I thought of as dread
I only see its beauty
All that it has to offer instead

Cause I am the one
Who now can see
I am the one
Who’s free to dream
I am the one
Who’s no longer scared
I am the one
Who will do it, I dare

I will take all the years of fear
Hiding behind a facade
Drowning in tears
I will take it all
And throw it away
I will choose to live a dream
I will dare to be brave

Cause I am the one
Who now can see
I am the one
Who believes
I am the one
I am the one
I am the one
My story’s not done
It’s just begun…

You’re Not Free

You’re Not Free

I’m trying to come out
But I’m a prisoner of this dictator
Called doubt
And it won’t
And it won’t
Even let me shout

I met it many years ago
After this monster called failure
Stoled my soul
Then I was
Then I was
No longer whole

It told constant lies to me everyday
Keep staying down
Over here, you’ll be safe
And it never
And it never
Went away…

Until one day
I heard the voice of a dove
It sounded grand
It sounded like love
You’re not free
This great voice said to me
You’re not free
Look at your reality

Don’t submit
Don’t succumb
You were meant to live in life, in love
You can fight
You can fight
Start tonight

You can fight
Yes, that’s right
Don’t let failure
Don’t let doubt
Keep the light out
You are strong
You can beat them
You can win
Find you’re strength within

You’re Free

I said
It’s time to go
I said
It’s the end
Of the show
No more yes to them
It’s no
I said
The tides have turn
Be bold

He said
Strange are you
You see
He said
It’s cool to be different
It’s strength, not weak
He said
What are you waiting for
Can’t you see that
Open door
Don’t hesitate
Go through
Don’t wait…

She said
See it wasn’t so bad
She said
You did it, aren’t you glad
She said
You came back
I knew this would be
She said
One can’t live long
In mediocrity
She said
Don’t feel guilty to smile
She said
You haven’t known joy
For a while

They said
Do what you please
They said
Cause now
You’re free
